One appliance from Penzance attended a call to a smoke alarm sounding in a property in Ludgvan. On arrival the crew found the property to be heavily smoke logged, firefighters extinguished the fire and used natural ventilation and a positive pressure fan to clear the smoke from the property. The fire was caused by clothing left on a woodburner, and the occupant was taken to hospital by the Ambulance Service suffering from suspected smoke inhalation.
