Crews from Falmouth were mobilised after neighbours reported the sound of a smoke detector actuating at an adjacent property. Upon arrival and after investigation, it was found that some food had been left on the cooker and had subsequently burnt which had actuated the alarms.

This highlights the need for working smoke alarms in premises and, also, for people to be vigilant.
