At 0946 fire control received a 999 call from a member of the public stating smoke could be seen coming from a property in Kings Road Camborne. Appliances from Camborne were mobilised and on scene within 3 minutes.

On arrival crews stated “smoke issuing from roof” and requested further assistance, appliances from Redruth and Penzance were also mobilised.

The terraced property of 2 storeys was found to have a fire in the first floor bedroom, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel and two jets to extinguish the fire. Surrounding properties were cleared of smoke, and the roof space was checked for fire spread. Crews remained on scene damping down hot spots. One casualty was left in the care of the Ambulance Service. Police were also in attendance.

The cause of the fire was accidental and spread.
