Two pumping appliances, one from Redruth and one from Truro, comprising 11 firefighters in total, attended a call to a chimney fire at a cob cottage in Crofthandy earlier today.

The crews used chimney rods to put out the fire involving a woodburner.

An inspection, using a thermal imaging camera, was carried out to ensure that the fire was completely out.
