A crew of 5 firefighters from Penzance Fire Station attended a chimney fire, earlier today, involving a multi-burner.

The crew initially used small gear, chimney rods and a thermal imaging camera to try to extinguish the fire - also checking the owner's loft and the neighbouring loft. However the chimney had a difficult access so the crew were unable to extinguish the fire internally so to access the chimney via the roof the crew used one triple extension ladder, one roof ladder and one hose reel jet.
