Eleven firefighters on two appliances from Penzance attended a call to a cooker fire in a mid-terraced domestic property. The fire was located in a first floor kitchen and crews extinguished the fire using two breathing apparatus with one hose reel and one carbon dioxide fire extinguisher. A safety jet and a covering jet were also used by the fire crews. One female was treated by Ambulance crews for smoke inhalation. Once the fire was out a positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear smoke from the premise.
