Firefighters from Penzance and St Just were mobilised after a call was received stating a smoke alarm could be heard sounding and someone could be heard shouting for help. Further 999 calls were then received stating smoke could be seen issuing from the property. On arrival firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued two elderly casualties from the property, who were left in the care of the Ambulance Service. Firefighters then extinguished the fire. A fire investigation is currently being carried out into this incident. No further information is available on this incident.
