2 Pumping Appliances from St Just attended a controlled burn of gorse and bracken which had become out of control in strong winds in the Newbridge area, near Penzance.
Crews used beaters to extinguish part of the accidental fire and allowed the rest of approximately 2 hectares to burn under supervision.
There is no further information about this incident from Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service.
