Cornwall Fire and Rescue are currently in attendance at a number of gorse fires across the county.

Crews from St Keverne, Mullion, St Dennis, St Collumb and Launceston are out at Goonhilly Downs, Coverack, Tregonetha, St Breock, Rosenannon and Laneast fighting the gorse fires with beaters.

Rosenannon Downs currently has 3 pumps on scene with four hectares of gorse alight which is being fanned by winds.


A number of these fires have been started deliberatly and have been classed as arson. Please see our link below on how to prevent grassland fires.
