Fire Involving Woodburner

On receipt of this call both appliances from Penzance were mobilised. On arrival there was found to be a fire within the wood stacked around a woodburner, Fire & Rescue personnel used a hosereel to extinguish the fire and then proceeded to remove the wood to the outside of the property. One person was given oxygen therapy at the scene and an ambulance was requested to treat the casualty for the effects of smoke inhilation and shock.
