On receipt of this call stating that a child was stuck in clay, appliances from St. Dennis and St. Austell were mobilised also specialist appliances from St. Austell, Bodmin and Falmouth as well as three Fire Officers. On arrival at the scene the child was found to have slipped down a slope into clay and mud, a successful recovery of the child took place using shovels. Attending ambulance personnel assessed the child, who was suffering from slight shock Devon & Cornwall Police were also in attendance and conveyed the child home.
