On the receipt of this call, appliances from Helston and Penzance were mobilised, on arrival, further resources were requested and an appliance from Camborne was mobilised.
Crews found that a detached bungalow measuring twenty metres by ten metres was well alight, teams of firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used high pressure hosereel jets and dry powder extinguishers at the scene, the crews were deployed for a considerable time as the fire had spread to the roof space. One casualty was treated at the scene by fire personnel, who administered oxygen until the arrival of ambulance crews, the casualty was then transferred to West Cornwall Hospital.
A Fire Investigation will take place later today.
