On the initial call for this incident, both appliances from Falmouth were mobilised, on arrival at the incident smoke was found to be issuing from a two storey detached property measuring ten by fifteen metres, a further appliance was requested and an appliance from Redruth was mobilised.
The fire had spread and involved the roof of the property, further resources from Helston attended also in a support capacity, an appliance from Hayle as well as specialist resources from Falmouth and St. Just.
Teams of firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property with high pressure hosereel jets and main jets to fight the fire, ladders were in use on the outside of the premises.
Ambulance were requested and attended and treated two persons for the effect of smoke inhilation, one person was transferred to hospital.
Update 0315: Crews have ladders in use and they are cutting away the roof to gain access to the fire, two high pressure hosereels and two main jets are in use.
Update 0530: The incident is scaling down with most of the attending resources returning to their home stations, one appliance from Falmouth will remain at the scene damping down and monitoring hot spots. A Fire Investigation Team will attend and investigate the incident later this morning.
