A call from a neighbour to said property, was received today, requesting our assistance to an incident where a vehicle had collided with a property in Tregony, near Truro. Appliances from Truro and St Austell were mobilised to the scene, plus the rescue tender from Camborne. Upon crews' arrival, it was found that the property had partially collapsed upon the vehicle and there was one person trapped inside that car. Crews cordoned off and secured the site and then further stabilised the property, before then removing the casualty from their car, leaving them in the care of Ambulance personnel. Crews isolated the electricity supply, and Western Power were requested to deal with their underground cables. The incident was then handed over to a Building Control Engineer to further check the scene, and make the building safe.
