Chalet Fire

Two appliances with ten firefighters from Camborne and Truro attended a call to a chalet style building on fire near St Day. On crews arrival the chalet was well alight and two hose reels and two breathing apparatus were used. The single storey chalet was made of wood and measured 8 x 4 metres. An ambulance attended the scene to treat one female casualty suffering from smoke inhalation. At 19:19 the fire was confirmed as out. Fire crews used thermal imaging cameras to inspect the adjacent properties to ensure the fire hadn’t spread.
