Six firefighters from Launceston attended a call to an area of Gorse on fire . The area of gorse measured 3 hectares and had a front of 200 metres. Crews used beaters and at 20:04 crews requested a second fire appliance attend. A second appliance from Launceston with six crews was mobilised to the scene. Crews used beaters and one hose reel to extinguish the fire. Once the fire was out the scene was monitored for hot spots for 15 minutes.
