Two appliances from Falmouth Community Fire Station were mobilised as well as a wholetime officer to reports of a barn fire.
On arrival crews were faced with a 10 by 5 metre barn - well alight.
Crews extinguished the fire using two breathing apparatus and two hose-reel jets.
The building was completely destroyed by the electrical fire and it was confirmed that the cause was accidental and confined to that building.
Western Power Distribution have also been requested to attend.
