On receipt of this call, from a person who had previously recorded controlled burning, stating that the wind had spread the fire, one appliance from Bodmin was mobilised, on arrival the crew found that the fire had spread, it was allowed to burn to natural breaks and then extinguished using beaters and high pressure hosereels, a total of twelve acres was involved. Crews were detained for some time.
