Fire Involving Cylinders

Appliances from Padstow and Wadebridge Community Fire Station were mobilised on receipt of this call.

The caller reported a fire behind a building within that address.

On arrival crews made pumps 3 - building well alight.

Firefighters wearing 6 Breathing Apparatus and using 2 main jets are currently tackling the fire involved in the roof space.

Gas cylinders were initially reported within the building that is measuring 20 metres by 20 metres so further specialist appliances were mobilised.

Update 1820: The incident is now scaling down with some appliances returning to their home stations. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are damping down using high pressure hosereel jets, the cylinders have vented and the scene is being monitored, the positive pressure fan is also in use to ventilate the premises.

Update 1930: The fire is now extinguished and all appliances have returned to their home stations. The cause has been classified as accidental.
