One appliance from Bodmin Community Fire Station was mobilised to a report of a skip on fire.
On arrival crews confirmed the skip was well alight and used two breathing apparatus and two hose-reel jets to extinguish the fire.
A second appliance from Bodmin was also mobilised for water purposes.
The fire was confirmed accidental and confined to the skip - crews are currently still on scene damping down and turning over.
