Chimney Fire

A call was received in Fire Control from a home owner believing he had a fire in his roof. Crews from Helston and Falmouth attended the property which was a detached farm house measuring approximately twenty metres by ten metres, and the fire was found to be in the chimney. Firefighters used one hose reel, a stirrup pump and chimney rods to extinguish the fire. Two thermal imaging cameras were used to check the building for hot spots and fire spread.
