At 1400 today Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service were called to an incident involving a large tree on fire in a wooded area. One crew from Launceston and 2 crews from Callington attended, one of them being the smaller 4 x 4 appliance required for access. Crews used hosereels and cutting tools to extinguish the fire that had spread to a hedge.
