Several calls were received for this incident, which initially stated that a car was on fire, one appliance from St. Austell attended and requested further assistance. Further resources from St. Austell attended. A total of three cars were on fire and had involved a shed which was spreading towards a house, teams of firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and other personnel used two high pressure hosereel jets and a main jet to extinguish the fires.
Arson was suspected. Devon & Cornwall Police were in attendance and will be making further enquiries.
