Road Traffic Collision - Person Trapped

Washaway, Bodmin at 02/05/2015 10:51

One pumping appliance and one rescue tender from Bodmin Community Fire Station, with a combined total of 11 firefighters on board, attended a road traffic collision this morning, where Fire Control had been advised of the incident and also that there was one person trapped in their vehicle.

Upon crews’ arrival at scene, one vehicle had left the road and was in a precarious position with one person still inside their vehicle. Crew assisted in stabilising the vehicle using a winch and small gear, and extricating the casualty. Once the vehicle was winched on to the side of the road, and the casualty released from their vehicle – and left in the care of Westcountry Ambulance Service – crews continued assisting the Police in making the scene safe.

This is all the information we have on this incident.
