A wholetime duty officer was mobilised to a report of a cow which had collapsed on the cliff footpath near Ruan Minor, this was to investigate the feasibility of helping. The officer met with the farmer and it was considered that the Fire Service could assist, therefore two appliances from Mullion and the animal rescue vehicle from Camborne were despatched. On arrival crews set up a animal rescue harness and lines to haul the cow to safety. The cow was rescued and placed in the safe care of the farmer.
