Several repeat calls, from members of the public, to Fire Control of a fire that could be seen just off Newquay Road, Truro, saw a pumping appliance from Truro Community Fire Station being mobilised to the scene, with 6 firefighters on board.
Upon their arrival, they found an area, measuring approximately 3 metres x 3 metres, of hedging and fencing alight. Crews used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire, which was confined to this area.
Arson is suspected and the Police have been informed.
