Dishwasher Fire
Trelowth Road, Polgooth, St Austell at 03/06/2015 23:05
Two pumping appliances from St Austell Community Fire Station, with 12 firefighters on board, were mobilised to a call to a fire, in Trelowth Road, Polgooth, this evening.
Upon crews’ arrival it was found that the detached bungalow, measuring approximately 15 metres x 10 metres had a fire in the dishwasher, located in the kitchen at the rear of the property.
The fire was extinguished by crews using 2 breathing apparatus, one hose reel and one safety jet.
Once the fire was out, positive pressure ventilation was used to clear the smoke from the property.
