A call was received by Fire Control from a neighbour alerted by the sound of smoke alarms coming from an upstairs property. One appliance from Truro and one from Perranporth with a total of 11 firefighters attended this incident and on arrival discovered a smell of burning. They immediately made it persons reported and forced entry into the building with two sets of breathing apparatus, one hosereel and a thermal image camera. One male casualty was located and rescued from the building by fire service personnel and administered first aid. The fire was in an upstairs mid terraced flat and involved a chip pan that had been left unattended. The police and ambulance were also in attendance. There are no further details for this incident.
