Due to copious amounts of smoke from a boat fire that crews from Falmouth, Helston, Tolvaddon and Truro are currently tackling, behind Asda Stores at Penryn, the wholetime officer on scene has requested local residents keep their doors and windows closed. It would be appreciated too if local media could put a message out on air giving this advice also.

Crews are making slow but good progress tackling the blaze using 4 sets of breathing apparatus and 3 main jets.
