Following a call from a motorist whose VW Transporter Van had steam or smoke coming from the engine, a crew of 6 firefighters in a pumping appliance from Launceston Community Fire Station was mobilised.

On the crew's arrival, there was some smoke issuing where the vehicle's engine had overheated. Crews used one hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera to cool the engine and make safe. They then made the scene safe.
