Person Rescue From a Ravine

St Breward, Bodmin at 16/07/2015 08:59

3 crews, one in a water tender appliance, one in a line rescue tender and one in a flat bed vehicle, all from Bodmin Community Fire Station, with a total of 12 firefighters, plus 2 wholetime officers, attended an assistance call from the South West Ambulance Service for our help rescuing a person that had fallen approximately 50 feet down a ravine, earlier this morning.

Upon their arrival, crews assisted rescuing the casualty using lines to gain access and to make assessment with the paramedics on scene. Fire service lines and harnesses were used, by safety officers in place, and the casualty was then placed on a Paraguard stretcher and lifted to safety.

The casualty was then left in the hands of the Air Ambulance crew.

This is all the information we have on this incident.
