Crews in pumping appliances from St Just and Penzance Fire Stations and the rescue tender from Tolvaddon Fire Station, plus a wholetime officer, attended a single vehicle road traffic collision this morning, on the A3071, approximately one mile outside of St Just.

Upon arrival by crews at scene, one person was already out of the vehicle and was receiving care from the Westcountry Ambulance Service. However, a second person was trapped in the vehicle.

The roof of the car needed to be removed by crews to get to this casualty, using crash rescue equipment. Once they had been extricated by crews, they were left in the care of the Westcountry Ambulance Service.

Crews ensured the vehicle and area was safe before leaving the scene in the hands of the Police, who were also in attendance.
