One appliance from St. Ives was initially mobilised on receipt of this call. On arrival a further appliance and land rover were requested. A severely strong wind then got behind and fanned the flames, further resources were requested and a total of six appliances, the command support vehicle and a water carrier attended (crews were from St. Ives, Penzance, St. Just, Camborne and Truro were involved) a total of fifty personnel were in attendance. The fire was eventually extinguished by using beaters. The last appliance returned to home station at approximately 1900 hours.
