At 1446 today we recieved a call to United View Scrapyard near Carharrack to a lorry on fire. This escalated and spread and became a request for further appliances, these came from Redruth, Truro, Camborne, Falmouth and Newquay. Also required was a water carrier the incident command vehicle, the environmental support vehicle and officer in charge ADO Ruberry. On fire was a number of vehicles some unknown stored scrap materials, 2 50' Leylandii trees and overhead cables involved. 4 BA sets and 3 jets were used to deal with it.
