Following a call that there had been a road traffic collision involving two vehicles, a car and a van, in Callestick, Truro, crews in pumping appliances from Truro and Perranporth Community Fire Stations were mobilised to the scene, along with a rescue tender from Tolvaddon Community Fire Station, and a wholetime officer.

On the crews' arrival, there were fortunately no persons trapped, however one casualty remained in their vehicle until the Ambulance Service arrived.

Crews continued making the scene safe, and then assisted the Police and the Ambulance with assisting the casualty onto a stretcher.
