Crews in pumping appliances from Bodmin and Lostwithiel Community Fire Stations, plus a wholetime officer, attended a tumble dryer fire in the early hours of this morning.

The fire in the appliance was out on crews’ arrival, but a thermal imaging camera was used to ensure this, plus a positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear the smoke.

The fire was accidental and confined.
