Baler Fire

Appliances from Wadebridge and Bodmin attended a report of a baler which had caught fire and was spreading to the surrounding field. On arrival crews found the baler in the middle of a field measuring approximately one hundred metres by one hundred metres with the fire spreading to a second field. Firefighters used three hose reels and beaters to tackle the blaze, water was supplemented from the water carrier from Wadebridge. Crews remained on scene for some time damping down hotspots on the baler and the stubble in the field.
