Person Recovered From River

Near, A3047, Blowing house, Redruth at 13/08/2015 12:48



At 12:48 a request from Ambulance was made for the Fire service to assist with recovering a person from a small river near to the Blowing House roundabout, Redruth. A major appliance along with a Line Rescue Tender from Tolvaddon were mobilised, two water rescue units from Penzance and Falmouth were also mobilised. On crews arrival there was a male casualty in the river being treated by a Paramedic. Fire crews made a scene assessment and with the advice of the Paramedic used a spine board, lines and a salvage sheet from the Rescue Tender to secure the casualty and remove them to a place of safety. There are no more details available on this incident.
