Five firefighters on one appliance from St Austell attended a call to a tractor on fire on Trezaise Avenue. The vehicle was well alight on crews arrival, it was towing a trailer but fortunately this was not involved in the fire. Crews used two hose reels and two breathing apparatus on the fire. The main road through Trezaise was blocked and Police were requested to attend to assist with traffic control. The fire also affected overhead power cables so electricity engineers were requested to attend. As a result of the fire there was a lot of glass, debris and damage to the road and Cornwall Highways were informed of this.
