Crews from Falmouth and Truro were mobilised to this incident. On arrival the first crew saw smoke issuing from the property, there was found to be a fire in the frying range in a chip shop which had spread to the flat above and had also smokelogged the neighbouring public house. Teams of firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hosereels and a Co2 extinguisher at the scene to extinguish the fire. Crews were delayed for some considerable time ventilating the property and damping down, crews returning to their home station by approximately 1800 hours.
