Restaurant Kitchen Fire

Treloggan Road, Newquay at 25/08/2015 14:38

Two pumping appliances from Newquay Community Fire Station, with a total of 10 firefighters, plus a wholetime officer, attended a call to a deep fat fryer fire in a restaurant this afternoon.

Upon their arrival, once all persons were accounted for, the fire, in the kitchen area of the restaurant, was suppressed by crews using a dry powder extinguisher and fixed installation - while other crew members deployed two breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the fire, and to isolate other utilities.

A positive pressure ventilation fan was used for smoke clearance.

This is all the information we have on this incident.
