A30 at Plusha, near Lewannick, Launceston at 25/08/2015 16:11

Following a call from the Ambulance Service, to Fire Control, that there had been a multiple vehicle road traffic collison, on the A30 near Lewannick, crews from Launceston, Bodmin and Callington Community Fire Stations were mobilised, plus a wholetime officer, to the scene.

Upon crews' arrival it was found that there were 3 vehicles involved in the multiple collision, and there was initially a total of 3 persons trapped, who were subsequently released by fire personnel into the care of paramedics, and a further 4 casualties, that were walking wounded, not trapped, but who were also needing care from the ambulance staff.

Police were also on scene.

Crews assisted in making the scene and vehicles safe.
