Multiple calls were received to a report of a large shed on fire containing farm equipment. Two appliances from Truro, one from Tolvaddon, a wholetime officer and the water carrier were mobilised. On arrival crews found one timber barn approximately 15 meters by 25 meters well alight. The barn contained a tele handler, two vehicles and a large quantity of straw. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are using hose reel jets to extinguish the fire. This is all the information we have on this incident at the moment.

Update at 21:57hrs.

Crews have now been relieved by Tolvadden and Wadebridge water carrier. Further firefighting is being carried out using a JCB low loader belonging to the farmer to move the straw and then two hose reels are being used to damp down the hot spots. Crews will be on scene for some considerable time.
