At 04:59 several calls were received to a premise which smoke coming from its roof in the middle of St Ives. Two pumps were mobilised to the incident from St Ives with a total of eleven crew. The property was well alight on crew’s arrival and they soon requested further appliances to attend to ‘make pumps four’ – an appliance from Hayle and one from Penzance were mobilised. At 05:40 a request for ‘Pumps Seven’ was made from the incident and appliances from Tolvaddon and St Just were mobilised to the incident. An number of specialist appliances are also on scene assisting with the operation at this location. At 06:50 this time Police have closed the main A3074 into St Ives and crews continue to fight the fire at this location.
