Upon receipt of a call to a baler fire, in Tregony, this evening, a total of 11 firefighters in two pumping appliances from Mevagissey and Truro Community Fire Stations were mobilised to the scene.

Upon their arrival, they found the baler was well alight and crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames, further damping down the baler and observing for a time to ensure that the fire was completely out and safe.

The fire was accidental and confined.
