Lockengate to Luxulyan Road at 12/09/2015 21:12
A crew of 5 firefighters on a pumping appliance from Bodmin Community Fire Station attended a car fire, on the Lockengate to Luxulyan Road, following calls from members of the public alerting Fire Control of the incident, earlier this evening.
The single vehicle was well alight, on crew's arrival, after appearing to have crashed into a roadside verge. Crews used two breathing apparatus and 2 hose reels to extinguish the fire in the car, which was unoccupied.
Once the scene was safe, crews handed the incident over to the Police, who were also in attendance.
The fire had spread, and arson is suspected.
