Two crews from Helston responded to a 999 call received at 1820 reporting a caravan on fire. When they arrived on scene at 1829 the caravan was well alight. Crews wore breathing apparatus and used a hose reel to fight the fire. Gas cylinders were also involved. At 1850 the Mullion crew were requested to attend to assist with extra water supply. By 1928 the fire was under control and all crews were back at their stations by 1954. The cause of the fire was accidental.
