Aga Fire

The Lugger, Portscatho at 20/09/2015 21:10

Two crews, totalling 12 firefighters altogether, from St Mawes & Mevagissey Community Fire Stations, plus a wholetime officer, attended a call to an Aga fire earlier this evening.

Upon their arrival, smoke was issuing from the ground floor of the property - which was a two storey residential dwelling, measuring approximately 12 metres x 6 metres. Crews used breathing apparatus to enter the premises via the ground floor window.

The fire, in the ground floor kitchen of the property, was accidental and confined to the Aga.

One adult and three children, suffering from smoke inhalation, were left in the care of the Ambulance Service.

This is all the information we have on this incident.
