Two crews from Looe Community Fire Station, and one crew from Liskeard Community Fire Station – totalling 14 firefighters, on 3 appliances, plus a wholetime officer, were mobilised to attend a café fire, in Millendreath, Looe, early this morning.

Upon their arrival, the single storey commercial property, measuring approximately 25 metres x 10 metres, had a fire located at the rear of the building in an electrical unit.

Western Power were requested, and promptly attended, due to mains cables being involved in the fire.

Crews used 2 breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the fire.

Arson is suspected and the incident was handed over to the Police, who also were also on scene.
