Five firefighters from St Austell attended a call to a dog which had fallen down a hole in a garden between a wall and a tree. Crews cut away shrubbery to gain access to the animal before assisting it from the hole, crews retrieved the collie dog from the hole and subsequently rescued a cat who was trapped under the dog in the hole. It is believed that the animals were released unharmed as a result of this incident.
